A Brief Introduction to CCPIT-CLIS & CCOIC-LICC
As a branch of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC), CCPIT Sub-Council of Light Industry (CLIS)and CCOIC Light Industry Chamber of Commerce (LICC) is a legal entity and non-governmental foreign economic and trade organization，directly under China National Light Industry Council. It is composed of social dignitaries and leading enterprises and organizations in the sector of consumer goods production in China, and it jointly works with Int'l Cooperation Dept. of China National Light Industry Council and China International Exchange Center for Light Industry.
Light industry in China is primarily referred to the production of consumer goods, and it covers the following 19 industrial segments: pulp and paper making, daily-use mechanical devices, silicates for daily use, chemical products for daily use, salt-making, foodstuffs and beverages, leather and fur as well as their products, wood processing and woven works of bamboo, rattan, palm and straw, furniture, cultural, educational and sporting goods, arts and crafts, plastic products, metal products, household electric appliances, lighting devices, weighing devices, sundry articles for daily use, light industrial machinery and others.
Aiming at the promotion of trade, CLIS and LICC act as a bridge, linking light industry in China with that in the rest of the world. According to the articles of association and purpose of CCPIT, the main tasks of CLIS and LICC are as the following:
• make great efforts in cooperating with foreign economic and trade circles, and deepen relationship with relevant chambers, associations and non-governmental organizations.
• organize study tours, exchanges, training, and economic and trade negotiations.
• hold or participate in professional exhibitions on consumer goods in and outside China, international conferences and technical seminars.
• transmit economic and technical information and provide service to relevant companies.
We are now organizing and co-organizing exhibitions in hardware products, food additives, watches, leather, lighting devices, sewing machines, cosmetics, stationery, food and beer etc..
